Sometimes life can become so busy that we don't lay aside some quality time with God. What are your suggestions or ideas in spending some quality time with God?
One of the things I try to do is set up a time like I do with everything else to meet with God. I look for a quiet place where there are no distractions, and just let mind be at peace while I pray to God and meditate on His words.
I talk to Him everyday, but there are times when I really want to go deeper and really sink my heart and soul into the spiritual realm where I can get revelation on what God is doing in my life. This is where I speak to Him, and He speaks back to me. Oh what joy!
I agree with Melinda J! Setting a time aside is a great way. Pencil Him onto the calendar if needs be. I know that sounds bad but like the topic says, we live in a busy and sometimes overwhelming society and time.
What I also find helpful is talking to Him or getting in the Word using non-traditional methods. EX: Use an audio Bible and listen to it while you cook or do house work.
I have learned just to pause and say "Lord I thank you" because He is constantly speaking to me, encouraging me, and ministering to my spirit on an every minute, every second bases. I make time for him as my first fruit in the mornings and He is literally the last person I think about as I am falling asleep. He is God and there is non like Him. I am learning more and more about how I can give him His time.
Instead of waking up with just enough time to get ready for work, set your alarm clock a few minutes early so you can spend a little time with God before we begin the work day.

I like that idea, Olivia. I think I will be adding this to my devotions. Love it!
